Prayer Focus:

Awakening the Church, all of God’s people, with wisdom and revelation.

Scripture Focus:

I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God.  -Ephesians 1: 16-17

He did this to present her to himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without fault.  -Ephesians 5-27

Today begins week 2 of our 21 day fast, and our focus turns from personal revelation and heart purification, to seeking the Lords mercy and power to awaken the church at large to a fuller measure of His glory.  Thank you for joining with us to pray for the bride of Christ to be prepared without spot or blemish that we may fulfill His great commission.

As I was praying and seeking God’s direction for this post, all that resonated in my heart was “worship Him”.  In my mind’s eye, all I could see was David dancing in the streets, lavishly filled with the joy of the Lord.  Recalling many of the psalms penned by David’s hand, I couldn’t help but think what could happen in the Church if the Lord had our affections as He did David’s.  Would it be the foundation with which the Lord would gift us with greater wisdom and revelation??

So with those sentiments I share a couple verses of one of my favorite songs by Matt Redman.  May you lean into your own praise and worship today, letting every lyric be an offering to a glorious Father who has the desire to raise up His church with wisdom and revelation.  May the Lord bless and keep you in this fast.  May He uplift you with His strong hand as you surrender to His  purposes.

The sun comes up
It’s a new day dawning
It’s time to sing Your song again
Whatever may pass
And whatever lies before me
Let me be singing
When the evening comes
Bless the Lord oh my soul
Oh my soul
Worship His Holy name
Sing like never before
Oh my soul
I’ll worship Your Holy name
You’re rich in love
And You’re slow to anger
Your name is great
And Your heart is kind
For all Your goodness
I will keep on singing
Ten thousand reasons
For my heart to find

Let’s Pray:

Heavenly Father, we LOVE you.  We long to see your church awaken, to unify, to be purified as your bride without spot or blemish.  Father we declare your goodness over the church and stand on your Word of mercy towards the redemption of all that you meant her to be.  Father we ask for an outpouring of supernatural wisdom and revelation for every Pastor, church leader, and lay member across the globe that our eyes will be opened to your heavenly plans, and not distracted by the perversions of the world.   Father endow us with the Mind of Christ and make our hearts burn to seek and save the lost.  We pray this in Jesus’s name.  Amen
