January 27th/ Praise the Lord all the Earth

By: Andria Davisson

Prayer Focus:

Praising the One True God whose faithfulness endures forever.

Scripture Focus:

God is our refuge and strength,
    a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way,
    though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam,
    though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah

There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
    the holy habitation of the Most High.
God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved;
    God will help her when morning dawns.
The nations rage, the kingdoms totter;
    he utters his voice, the earth melts.
The Lord of hosts is with us;
    the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah

Come, behold the works of the Lord,
    how he has brought desolations on the earth.
He makes wars cease to the end of the earth;
    he breaks the bow and shatters the spear;
    he burns the chariots with fire.
10 “Be still, and know that I am God.
    I will be exalted among the nations,
    I will be exalted in the earth!”
11 The Lord of hosts is with us;
    the God of Jacob is our fortress.  -Psalm 46

Everywhere I go, from team meetings to prayer calls, the testimonies resound of  how the Lord has met us in this time of fasting.  There is such a hopeful expectation, a fresh wonder of the mysteries of God, that emanates out of each person I have had the honor of connecting with.  The Lord is on the move and by His grace and mercy we are fully aligning under an open heaven to enter into the presence of our Savior, the maker of Heaven and Earth.

With that I encourage you today to take some extra time to praise Him.  Reflect on the love and wonder that has been poured out these last 21 days.  If you haven’t already, grab your journal and record all He had done and revealed to you the last 21 days.  Just like the people of Israel placed stones of remembrance  (ie. Genesis 35:14) to honor God for key turning points in their lives, let us do the same as a declaration to mark this turning point in our lives.

Let’s Pray:

Heavenly Father our hearts overflow with gladness today as you have filled our cups to overflowing.  We worship you and give you praise, pouring out our devotion to  you and you alone.  Abba Father, Daddy, we thank you for drawing close to us during this time of fasting and we look with great expectation for the times ahead.  Entering into your glory–restoration and hope poured out on every nation— is the continuing cry of our hearts.  We stand ready, empowered by your spirit and only as you lead, to pursue “Your Kingdom come on Earth as is is in Heaven.”  Father You will be exalted among nations, and exalted in the Earth.   You are with us and will be our fortress.  Let your glory fall.
